The Championships were held on Lyttelton Harbour, in conjunction with the 2008 New Zealand Trailer Yacht Championship.

After two great Farr 6000 National Championships in Port Chalmers and Littleton last year we were looking forward to making the trip north. A combination of fantastic competition, challenging conditions, convivial company and excellent organization by the Canterbury Farr Owners Group/CTYS organizing committee made this year’s event possibly the best one yet. Unexpectedly light conditions and sea fog were the order of the day at the Farr 6000 NZ Champs held at Port Chalmers, Otago this year. The 2003 / 2004 Doyle Sailmakers Nelson Farr 6000 New Zealand Championships were held in Napier over the weekend 17th to 19th January 2004. Great sailing conditions and an excellent turnout of fifteen boats made this an event to remember. |
